Taylor Wessing: CRC Scheme

Welcome to Taylor Wessing's Interactive Hotels Guide to the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme.

The CRC Scheme, the UK's new mandatory carbon emissions trading scheme which came into force in April 2010, is estimated to impact around 20,000 organisations in the UK in some way.

If you are a Hotel Owner, Operator, Franchisor or Franchisee the CRC Scheme potentially affects you. The following interactive Guide allows you to ascertain whether the CRC Scheme affects you and, if so, how.

Qualification for the CRC Scheme is based on electricity usage through half hourly meters in 2008. For the purposes of the CRC Scheme, the energy usage of UK organisations is aggregated on a group-wide basis and references to 'organisation' and 'group' in this Guide should be construed accordingly.
